What are the conditions for benefiting from the student offer?

To benefit from the student offer, you need to be a student for a minimum stay of 4 continuous months.

Do I benefit from housing or government assistance?

Our establishments are not intended to be used as a main or secondary aparthotel, and it is forbidden to use them on a continuous or discontinuous basis. As a result, our apartments are unfortunately not eligible for state subsidies such as APL or ALS.

How is the apartment fitted and equipped?

Each studio has a double bed or two single beds (double or twin studio), TV, desk area, fully-equipped kitchenette (fridge, electric or ceramic hob, microwave, sink) and private bathroom with shower or bath, washbasin and toilet. T2 apartments are similarly equipped, with an additional separate bedroom.

How do I book a residence?

Following your request on the site, you will receive an e-mail with a price proposal corresponding to your wishes (place of residence, choice of type and dates). If you are interested in this proposal, we invite you to click on the link "Yes, I want it". The Reservation Centre will contact you and send you all the information and the list of documents to be collected to create a file.
Once the supporting documents have been received, your file will be evaluated and the Reservation Centre will come back as soon as possible to validate your file and confirm the availability of the desired residence. Subject to approval, the residence will send you the lease and organise your arrival.

What does the monthly rent include?

The monthly rent includes apartment rental as well as the following charges: Wi-Fi connection, water and electricity, equal to charges of €30 for studios and €45 for 1-bedroom apartments. An electricity meter reading will be taken upon arrival and departure; in the event of over-consumption, the amount of the overrun will be deducted from your deposit.

Do I have to pay a down payment?

To validate your booking, you will be asked to pay a sum equivalent to the application fee and down payment. This must be paid into the residence’s bank account via bank transfer. The first month’s rent is to be paid upon arrival.

What documents do I need to apply?

To create a file you will need to provide a copy of the following documents: For the student : . Valid identity card or passport . Valid student card or proof of registration . + if you are a foreign student : . Valid VISA card or residence permit For the guarantor :  + if you have one or more physical guarantor(s) residing in France : . Valid identity card or passport . Last tax notice . Proof of income (last 3 pay slips or professional card/excerpt from the KBIS with last balance sheet) . Proof of residence (a landline, electricity or water bill less than 3 months old) + If you do not have a guarantor residing in France : . You can take out a contract with our partner GARANTME. This fully digitalized solution allows everyone, everywhere in the world, to benefit from a guarantee. The cost of this option is based on a percentage of the annual rent including charges. A preferential rate is granted to Appart'City customers thanks to a promotional code that will be communicated to you.
If you opt for this solution, we will need the certificate of eligibility. In order to cover your accommodation you will also need to provide a certificate of home insurance on the day of your arrival. The home insurance allows you to be compensated in case of damage in your home. You can take out a contract with an insurance company or a bank.

I’m a minor: can I rent an apartment?

Yes, under two conditions: you must be 18 within the year of your stay with us, in addition to having the authorization of your legal representative(s). The accommodation contract will be drawn up for you, and you will be represented by your legal representative(s). Moreover, home insurance must be in the name of your legal representative(s).

When is the rent due?

The rent and tourist tax are to be paid between the 1st and the 5th of each calendar month, directly at the reception desk or by bank transfer to the residence’s bank account.

How soon will my security deposit be refunded?

The remainder of your security deposit will be refunded to you by bank transfer, to the bank account provided, 2 months after your departure (on average). This refund takes approximately 1 month when the inventory of fixtures carried out at the end of the rental period is compliant with that carried out at the beginning of the rental period. However, if damage, insufficient cleaning or over-consumption are noted upon your departure, the refund will take longer due to resulting deductions.

Are housekeeping services provided during my stay?

No, once you have moved in, it is up to you to clean the apartment. For your convenience, some residences provide hoovers, buckets and mops at reception. You are responsible for purchasing cleaning products. At an extra charge, the residence can also clean your apartment on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

What happens if my rental contract starts mid-month?

If you move in on a day other than the first of the calendar month, your rent will be prorated. You will only pay for the days you have stayed.

Is crockery provided?

Upon arrival, the residence provides a basic crockery set, which typically includes: plates, cutlery, glasses, cups, bowls, frying pan, saucepan with lid, colander and chopping board. Please note that if you damage any of these items, the corresponding value must be paid during your stay (or will be deducted from your security deposit upon departure).

What is the application fee?

The application fee covers the cost of setting up and managing the rental application. This fee is cashed before your arrival in the establishment in order to guarantee your booking. It is non-refundable.

Can I visit the aparthotel before submitting an application?

Of course, we schedule no open days, so you can make an appointment to visit us all year round!

What happens upon my arrival?

The residence will have approved a date and time for your arrival. They will ensure that you have all necessary documentation, and you will be required to pay the first month’s rent as well as the tourist tax. A staff member will then accompany you to the apartment in order to carry out an inventory of fixtures and read the electricity meter.

Are linens provided?

Upon arrival, the residence provides the following, free of charge:
. 1 duvet ,
. 2 pillows
. 1 bed linen kit, which includes: 1 flat sheet, 1 duvet cover and 2 pillowcases
. 1 set of bath towels, which includes: 1 large towel, 1 hand towel and 1 bathmat.
Note that this linen will not be changed during your stay, and if these items are unusable on your departure they will be charged to you and deducted from your security deposit. Additional linen is available on request at an extra charge.

What happens during my stay?

During your stay, you agree to regularly maintain the apartment and respect the rules of community life, as well as the establishment’s internal regulations. Please note that smoking is forbidden in all of our establishments. If necessary, the establishment’s staff are authorised to access your apartment for maintenance work and/or checks. You are required to pay your rent at the reception desk by the 5th of each month. Our on-site teams remain at your disposal for any further information!

Can I share an apartment with a friend?

Yes, it is possible to share in our apartments, as long as the aparthotel accepts the request.

Why do I have to pay tourist tax?

Like hotels, our residences are considered tourist accommodation. Our clients must therefore pay tourist tax, which we immediately transfer to local authorities. The tourist tax is to be paid directly at the reception desk, at the same time as the rent, for each day you stay in the residence.

What is the security deposit?

The security deposit is a sum equivalent to one month’s rent, excluding charges. It will be cashed before your arrival to guarantee your reservation. This sum will be kept for the duration of the rental period and will be refunded, in full or in part, upon your departure. A €65 departure cleaning fee and/or additional charges may be deducted, depending on your electricity consumption and the state of the apartment and its equipment, when the inventory of fixtures is carried out at the end of the rental period.

What happens upon my departure?

Upon your departure, the apartment must be left clean and tidy, in the same condition as when you arrived. An inventory of fixtures will be carried out with a staff member, and the electricity meter will be read. A studio cleaning fee of €65 will be automatically charged. This fee includes laundering, a technical inspection, and housekeeping services. Please note that damages or an insufficiently cleaned apartment will result in additional fees being deducted from your security deposit. Likewise, any excess electricity consumption, ascertained upon reading the meter, will be charged to you and deducted from your security deposit.

What happens if I cancel my booking?

Please note that the application fee will be forfeited regardless of the reason and date of cancellation. Prior to arrival, all cancellation notices must be sent by email directly to the residence or to Appart’City in order to be considered. If the booking is cancelled more than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be refunded in full within approximately 1 month. If the booking is cancelled less than 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, the security deposit will be retained by Appart’City. Once you have moved in, you may only cancel your booking by giving 30 days’ notice from the date of your cancellation request’s receipt. Rent will be due for this 30-day period. The remainder of your security deposit will be refunded to you within approximately 2 months (see previous section).

Does the residence offer any services?

What payment methods are accepted?

The security deposit and the application fee must be paid by bank transfer. All other fees may be paid by bank transfer, valid credit card (Carte Bleue, Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard, American Express) or cash (within the regulatory limit). If you choose to pay in cash, a credit card guarantee may also be requested to secure the payment. Bank and postal cheques are not accepted.
